Someone at Nintendo needs a raise! Finally, after 84 long years (thanks Rose from Titanic) there’s a NEW GAME coming out featuring content from my childhood! Remember pig god Ganon? Of course you don’t! He’s been a ginger for forever! Well, someone did and not only that, this game actually references the Zelda series! AND YOU PLAY AS ZELDA! (No that isn’t a Link name joke, you PLAY as Princess Zelda!)
I’m… stunned! I don’t know what to say. Not only is it a new TOP DOWN Zelda game but it’s innovative and original! You use Zelda’s magic to make echoes of objects and even enemies to play in a whole unique way! On top of that, PIG GOD GANON! Well, sorta, you probably won’t see him till the end of the game after the intro but, EEEEEE!!
Anyway, yes so you play as Zelda. Use magic. I mean, she’s the wielder of the Triforce of Wisdom! Echoes of WISDOM, get it? For all you kids out there, those funny triangles all over Hyrule used to be super important to their world. Zelda had one, Link had one, and Ganon had one. Of course, Ganon wanted all three because collecting things is cool.
But now we finally get more top down action!! The only thing that would be cooler would be sprite based graphics and none of the distance blur from Links Awakening remake (Yes I’m Cranky Kong, if anyone even still gets THAT reference) but I’m so hyped for this! This is what I want from Nintendo! Not to mention Metroid Prime 4 and a sequel to Mario Bros 2 Doki Doki Panic subcon world content, but still!
