The Famicom classic that started the Fire Emblem legacy had been localized for the first time. The game was released digitally on the Nintendo eShop on December 4th, but if you haven’t bought the game yet you’ve only got a few days left.
After the end of the Fire Emblem 30th Anniversary year, March 31st, it will no longer be possible to purchase the Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light game for the Nintendo Switch.
For players who purchased the game digitally, it will still be possible to re-download the game after this date. For codes included in the Fire Emblem 30th Anniversary Edition or purchased through retail partners, redemption will be possible after this date.
The move to release and pull the game so quickly seems like an odd move considering the game was never released here before. If you had even a passing consideration in picking up the game you should act quickly.
In the game, meet Marth and recruit some of the most beloved Fire Emblem characters in their 8-bit glory as you play through all 25 chapters of this classic Famicom tactical role-playing game, localized and released for the first time in North America. From defending the kingdom of Talys to facing off against the titular Shadow Dragon, this scrappy hero must be poised to take on any challenge. Luckily, he has a capable group of allies at his side: Tiki, Minerva, the Whitewing Sisters, and more.
