Based on the tabletop experience from Fantasy Flight Games, The Lord of the Rings Living Card Game is the first ever digital LCG, featuring an in-game economy built around fixed packs and a story-based, single-player campaign.
Build your deck and face the Dark Forces of Sauron. Battle spiders, orcs, Ringwraiths, and more as you journey through Middle-earth, earning cards and devising new tactics along the way. In The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game, players lead their own fellowship of heroes through immersive quests, each with its own unique narrative and challenges.
The game looks very much like what we’ve seen in Blizzard’s Hearthstone and Magic the Gathering Arena for PC and mobile devices. The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game was released on Steam a few months ago and is now listed for the Nintendo Switch in 2019. While I haven’t seen an official announcement, the game is listed on Nintendo.com. The game is published by Asmodee Digital.
The game have numerous cards available day one with more on the way. Decks in The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game will be fully customizable. In the game you will lead a team of up to three heroes through five distinct quests, with many more to come.
With the card game perfectly suited for a touch screen, hopefully that it worked into the interface during handheld mode. This is something that is glaringly missing in some games.
