Pokémin: Detective Pikachu the movie Movie hits theatres next summer. And unlike the recent films which had sporadic, limited releases, this looks to be a nationwide release.
Directed by Rob Letterman and written by Nicole Perlman and Letterman, the film is based on the 3DS video game of the same name. The film is an American and Japanese venture produced by Legendary Entertainment, Warner Bros. and Toho.
It will be the first live-action film based on the Pokémon franchise.
The film stars Ryan Reynolds as the voice of Detective Pikachu, with Ken Watanabe, Justice Smith and Kathryn Newton in live-action roles.
