I’d always had an interest in the Atelier games and was thrilled when we were able to review them in recent years. They’re unique titles and that’s what makes them fun. It’s not just go out, level up, and be an RPG hero. Instead there is a lot more story and you typically have a time limit. I assume Lydie & Suelle follow that same formula. With such a cute cast it’s easy to get lost in these worlds. The style is consistent across genders as well with the male characters having a certain charm to them. The magical storybook appearance of the Atelier titles makes them stand out.
On March 27th the latest entry in the series will be released. I can assure you though, it isn’t necessary to have played the staggering amount of previous titles however. After quite a break I jumped into the series with Atelier Ayesha and I had no problem enjoying the game.
Today Koei Tecmo released a new character focused on the characters in the upcoming game. There are some returning faces as well so long time fans will be thrilled to see that! Check out the latest trailer for The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings below.
