Lightwood Games, who specialize in word games, have just announced an innovative new word game that will be making its way to the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U later this year, very likely in September.
Their new game is called Worcle Worlds.
The core gamplay of Worcle Worlds is an endless puzzler where you shoot letter balls into a circle to make words. As you make words, the balls disappear everything rolls around and you can set up clever cascades for high scoring combos, kind of like Zuma.
The original Worcle was released for iPhone in 2011 and the game has already been approved for Xbox One.
Worcle Worlds will come packed with hundreds of missions to complete, a mix of predefined puzzles and open-ended challenges, in story mode. The game will also come with a local and online multiplayer component as well. The 3DS will support both local and download play.
For the Nintendo 3DS, there are two different control methods. You can control the game with the stylus or the circle pad / directional pad. On Wii U, it’s possible to connect a Wii Remote, Nunchuk, Classic Controller or Pro Controller to play the game. There will also be the ability to play two players with just the gamepad.
