Team Meat and BlitWorks announced today that their acclaimed platformer Super Meat Boy will launch in the Nintendo Wii U eShop on May 12th.
Super Meat Boy launched in 2010 on Xbox 360 and PC, and was immediately labeled as a definitive work in the sub-genre of brutally difficult platformers. The game was released on PS4 and PS Vita last year and with the Wii U version arriving this month,.
The developers teased that a version of the game for the Ninendo 3DS could be on the horizon.
Super Meat Boy for Wii U will support off-screen play and the Wii U Pro Controller. SMB will also be on sale during the first 2 weeks of release.
