It’s no surprise there is a new Farcry game. The amazing series has captivated gamers with the intense situations since the series was revitalized in Farcry 3. That isn’t to say the earlier titles weren’t great as Farcry 2 is one of my favorites. What IS surprising is that the game takes place in the stone age! Literally! Woolly Mammoths, Sabre Tooth Tigers, and primitive hunting weapons adorn this reveal trailer below. Is there more to this than meets the eye? It certainly is a huge departure from the series, but it’s also a franchise that has seen high quality releases in recent years.
The game is set to be released February 23, 2016.
We’ll find out soon but the YouTube trailer description does note: “This isn’t the Stone Age you thought you knew. This is the Stone Age with irreverence and mayhem. This is the Stone Age by Far Cry.”
