The team at SEGA has decided to delay the release date of Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice, which we announced for Nintendo 3DS earlier this year. In order to make sure the game has the time and polish needed, SEGA announced that it is delaying the game until 2016.
There is no firm new release date set for the game.
While this is certainly not good news, it’s good in my opinion that the Sonic Team folks are putting a larger emphasis on quality and not rushing the game to market.
In other news, since the above was revealed a few weeks ago, is that the game has officially been rated by the ESRB. Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice will be rated E for Everyone with the content descriptor: Mild Cartoon Violence.
