Polygon has released a pitch video Remedy had created for Alan Wake 2. Eventually, parts of this concept would become content we’ve seen in Alan Wake: American Nightmare, however not all of it did. It seems Quantum Break is also drawing inspiration from this demo as well. What’s more is exactly what is in the video itself that we’ve never seen before. Craftier enemy AI, and that ending!
I have to admit that I’m a huge fan of Alan Wake. If this had been an announcement at E3, I’d have lost my mind with excitement. Seeing the possibility for more of this series in the future definitely gives me hope. We should all be excited for Quantum Break since it is a new creative endeavor with similar concepts from Remedy themselves. However more Alan Wake is something I definitely want to see more of as well. To me it’s as exciting as if Nintendo announced a new 2D Metroid game. It’s a big deal!
Stick with it Remedy! The new gameplay mechanics look like fun, and then the possibilities opened by that ending? Phenomenal!
This all stems from an article Polygon released about the fall and potential return of a new Alan Wake sequel.
