For those who haven’t tried it yet, Neverwinter is quite an enjoyable MMO set on the Sword Coast of the Forgotten Realms campaign setting from Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios. Much like their Star Trek MMO, there is quite a lot to enjoy story wise in this game, including it’s expansions. As a free to play title, I never felt forced to get any additional content. It’s there and available if I decide I’d like it. Otherwise I’ve been able to enjoy the main story without issue.
This title is now making it’s way to the Xbox One on March 31st! We reached out to Perfect World to confirm, and console gamers will not be able to access or transfer characters from their PC version. So you’ll be starting fresh in the Xbox One edition of the game.
Regardless, it’s definitely highly recommended for gamers to try this title out! First and foremost, it’s free. Secondly, I’m eager to see how well it plays on consoles. Being more action based in some ways with combat, Neverwinter promises to be a fun addition to the new gen console.
