Creator Hugo Smitts of Goodbye Galaxy Games has another title coming soon and it looks to be another classic. The title, Tappingo, is a pixel-art puzzle game and will mark the debut on the Nintendo 3DS eShop for the developer, who has been focused on creating games for DSiWare previously. Their last title for DSiWare was Color Commando, and you can read our review of that title here.
Here is a brief synopsis of the game: Solve pixel art puzzles by making numbered blocks extend into lines. Sounds easy? wait until you find out these lines keep running unless they hit something! Be smart and use other blocks and lines to stop the line at the correct length. Gameboy had Tetris, Nintendo DS had Picross. Now 3DS players get their puzzle craze called Tappingo!
The game will come packed with 100 puzzles to solve, some of which are over small grids while others are on big grids! Each puzzle is timed as well which challenges to beat the best score and also your personal best.
Developer Hugo Smitts released a few new images from the game as well as a short Vine video showing off a quick bit of gameplay. Check them both out below:
We’re pretty excited to give this one a try. What do you think about this new puzzle game?
