SEGA released another interview on their blog about another game they are updating into 3D for the Nintendo 3DS. With the recent releases of Sonic the Hedgehog and Altered Beast last week, the company is releasing this newest game in the Nintendo 3DS eShop this Thursday.
The original Ecco the Dolphin game was released in North America on the SEGA Genesis back in 1992 and has subsiquently also been released on the Wii Virtual Console, Xbox Live Arcade, iOS App store and on Steam. I’ll admit that I never played the original Genesis game back on that particular hardware, but I did have a copy of the game for SEGA Game Gear. Actually the game I had was the second game Ecco: The Tides of Time, though when I bought it second hand at the store didn’t realize that I was actually getting the imported Japanese version of the game. As a kid I had no idea what was going on in the game.
The game will be released alongside 3D Galaxy Force II.
