Nintendo released a few details on the next chapter in the Yoshi’s Island series, which will be released for the Nintendo 3DS. Not a lot of details were revealled for the game aside from the fact that the series continues the familiar Yoshi’s actions of the flutter jump, ground pound and egg throw.
New actions tuned to the hardware capabilities of the 3DS were teased though not much was discussed, though a clip was shown of Yoshi tossing a giant egg which destroyed much of the level.
The game is the third in the series which began in 1995 with the Super Nintendo title Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island. That was followed up more than a decade later with Yoshi’s Island DS for the Nintendo DS.
