Capcom has announced three new multiplayer modes are coming to Resident Evil 6 after the game’s launch next month. The three add-ons will be called Survivors, Predator and Siege. The content will be available first exclusively on the Xbox 360.
– Survivor Mode takes the classic vs. mode and adds a twist. No longer will dying quickly end the match, forcing the gamer to sit and observe the game as a spectator. Dying quickly in Surivior mode will turn the gamer into an enemy character who can then attack the remaining human characters. If the gamer can manage to kill two players they will be resurrected as a human player and can rejoin the game.
– Predator Mode puts up to two gamers in control of the Ustanak. The goal of the mode is for the remaining human players is to either kill the Ustanak or survive until time expires. If the gamers in control of the Ustanak kills all the humans, they win.
– Siege Mode puts a team of gamers in control of human characters whose task is to protect a group of NPCs until the end of a time period from enemy characters. If they succeed they win the round.
All three of the modes use the same maps as Mercenaries mode and are playable for up to six gamers. As new DLC maps are released they will also be usable in the three modes.
Resident Evil 6 is set to be released on October 2nd. No pricing details or dates have been announced for the upcoming DLC.
