Nintendo’s Bill Trinen spoke with 1Up Games shortly after the Nintendo Wii U Launch presentation last week and revealed some more details about the upcoming console, specifically details that weren’t talked about in the presentation itself.
- – The Deluxe Digital Promotion stuff that’s included in the Deluxe set will only be available to those who purchase the deluxe set. There are no plans to make it available to gamers who purchase the Wii U basic bundle.
– Nintendo has no plans to make extra GamePads available for purchase outside of the system bundle as no announced titles support multiple GamePads.
– Nintendo is starting to release games digitally on the Wii U, unless there is a required accessory needed like in SiNG Party. Third party developers have to option to release digitally but aren’t required to.
– New Super Mario Bros. U will be a launch day title.
– NintendoLand will not be playable online and will be local multiplayer only.
